Logistics Optimisation

Risk Avert has many years of experience in the implementation of advanced logistics solutions both as part of major ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle and as stand alone solutions to optimise transportation and improve the purchasing process.

Over the past decade we have assisted companies including Volvo, and Kuehne + Nagel, Tesco, Exel, Unipart, Electrocomponents, Apple Computers, General Electric  and Acco implement complex and challenging supply chain solutions.  We have supplied project managers, solution architects and technical resources.  An overview of some of these projects is shown below:

Volvo

Provided a solution architect to design a process for a specialist oracle application(OTM), which met the client’s business strategy to drive their Inbound Logistics process and to allow them to have greater control and visibility of their carriers.

Kuehne + Nagel

Provided project management to the manage the delivery team involved in designing the system solution and operating processes to support a new 3PL service focused on providing an integrated boundary-less logistics service.

Tesco

Implemented a single system to schedule delivery appointments for inbound vehicles to UK depots.

General Electric

Worked with the client to ensure that a logistics implementation of Oracle OTM went into production within a record time period.

Exel Logistics. We developed an automated messaging hub pulling all global orders and their supply status.  Order information via multiple sources (telephone, fax, email, ordering systems, SAP and may other sources) were automatically captured through middleware solutions and captured in the messaging hub.  From here Exel’s world wide customers could view the status of orders.  We were later asked to project managed their supply chain project including the sale to its major global corporate customers.

Lean Logistics Joint Venture. With Unipart and Exel, Risk Avert developed advanced supply chain software to support “lean logistics” on major building sites and create the link between 4D architectural planning to the daily building of project.  The solution created detailed project plans which specified ordering requirements, thus enabling the building to be constructed in the most efficient and lean manner.  For more information click here

Electrocomponents. We assisted Electrocomponents in a review of an existing SAP centric supply chain programme.  From the review substantial improvements were identified and Risk Avert became the independent project management partner.

> Apple Computers. Managed the programme office of a $50m programme to integrate  European supply chain and re-engineer its processes.  The programme involved substantial restructuring of the supply chain, business process and management that resulted in substantial global benefits.
