Philip Thew

Philip has directed, managed and delivered many challenging business projects over his 30 year career.  An accountant by background with extensive business strategy and IT skills, he is the founder of Risk Avert and the architect of many of the services and systems that it provides.  He has advised many world class organisations at a senior level, worked in financial director roles and in consultancy with major firms such as PWC.

Eugene Murray

Eugene was an Executive Board member of RTE, Ireland’s Public Service Broadcaster, having previously held a number of senior management posts including Director of Digital Media,  Director of Business Planning and Head of Television Current Affairs.   He led a highly successful strategic programme that identified £30m of benefits.  In his earlier broadcasting career he was a TV and Radio producer, being Editor of the flagship TV current affairs programme Today Tonight and executive producer for the Irish Elections and Budgets programmes.  He was also acting chairman of Irelands sub-group on Telecommunications Infrastructure and represented RTE on IBEC’s (Irish Business and Employers Confederation) Telecommunications Internet Federation and Audiovisual Federation. He also chaired IBEC’s Broadcast and Cable Group.

Until recently, Eugene was Chief Executive of The Irish Hospice Foundation and remains Chairman of Ireland’s Medical Consultants Appointments Committee and member of the Oversight Group for the  National Network for Radiation Oncology. He established and chaired the hospice sectors advocacy group and became a board member of St.Lukes Hospital.  He has served as a member of the Information Society Commission.

Joan Tuohy

Joan has spent the last decade managing and advising on the implementation of advanced logistics and transportation systems.   Her clients have included Unipart, Exel Logistics, Kuehne + Nagel and Volvo.  She is also a qualified accountant with extensive skills in systems design.  Before moving into consulting she was a finance director and gained her experience working for McDermot Engineering, Avon Cosmetics and BOC.

Geoff Haselhurst

15 years PLC Board level experience, including IPO and Private Equity with proven track record of achievements. A commercial results driven leader with financial grounding he is energetic and spontaneous with highly pragmatic style. Experienced in multi-site Consumer and B2B environments across international boundaries. A catalyst for growth and maximising opportunities. Strong people, service and quality orientation.  The companies he has advised include Next, Laura Ashley, Reliance Security, Admiral and Fila.

Charles Lock

Charles is in charge of Risk Avert’s managed services and systems development team.  He has led assignments to develop challenging solutions relating to health care, governance, TV production management and shipping.  He currently manages the day to day operations of our services to RTE, Virgin Media and Sainsbury’s.  He is a specialist in Oracle and Microsoft technologies and cloud computing.

Ken Grant

Ken is a marketing strategy consultant with over twenty years experience in helping multinational organisations.  Over recent years he helped organisations develop strategies to  enter emerging markets particularly the positioning and product launch of luxury brands  (from cars to handbags) into the Chinese market place.

Fei Dai

Fei is a specialist in strategic marketing and business development between Chinese and European organisations.  Her recent work has involved the outsourcing of manufacturing and business processes to China and the market positioning of UK products into the Chinese market.  Fei is supported by a small team of local professionals based in Shanghai.

Tiago Rodriegas

Tiago is a software development specialist renowned for converting client requirements into web based systems.  Over 6 years Tiago has been involved in the development of several major planning and transaction systems.  He has been instrumental in the development of governance and medical systems.
